About this Boat

The Switch 51 "Lady Amelie" is a rare combination of design by a top-team known for their performance oriented catamarans with ocean cruising comfort.  The Switch 51’s ability to carry a large payload makes it an ideal cruising catamaran. The controls are simplified enough for a couple to make short coastal jumps or ocean crossings with ease.

Standing out on Lady Amelie in particular is her unique and high quality Old Navy style Mahogany interior woodwork that is a must see.  She also features a taller mast and sail plan than the majority of Switch 51’s that were built, making it perfectly suited to provide exceptional performance in light to moderate conditions while her deep daggerboards also allow for upwind performance sailing.

The boat has had three owners since new, with her current owner taking possession in 2013 in Denmark and then cruising her to the Caribbean.  Since 2014, Lady Amelie has cruised the Caribbean, Bahamas and the East Coast of the US.

The current owners have meticulously maintained the boat, and have significantly upgraded and refit her during their ownership.  Upgrades include Rebedding salon windows, new dacron Sails, new standing and running rigging, new Lifeline AGM batteries and all new wiring, new navigation instrumentation, new autopiot system, and so much more.  View her full listing for a full list of refits and upgrades on the boat!
