About this Boat

If a tank could sail, this is what it would look like. This super strong custom built aluminum catamaran started its life over in France built by the original owner from plans he purchased in 1999. After finishing the boat in 2000, he and his wife sailed the boat all around the med and then sailed it here to the United States with 2 small children. Every winter after arriving in the US they sailed the boat from Florida to the Bahamas and back for their winter vacation. The boat has now been sitting in the water for many years not having any service or care until this new owner and the rest is history. If you have skills with aluminum and paint and a well built affordable catamaran is what you are looking for, your search has ended. This new owner has replaced all fuel lines, impellers, exhaust hoses, elbows and manifolds on the engines and has them running beautifully. He cleaned and polished the fuel tanks, replaced the shifter cables, got the steering to work, repaired both starboard side window frames and sealed the port windows to do the same in the future. He has also installed a starboard deck hatch, covered two gaps in the deck next to the cockpit and added new IPE wood slats to the cockpit seats and all new IPE wood on the aft deck steps.
My Soun is now ready for a new chapter in its life and is in need of some major cosmetic work. The decks and hulls are thick aluminum ready to be repainted. The side windows to port will need new frames installed, but have been covered to prevent leaks. The twin Volvo 18HP diesels are in very good condition. The engines have great access on all sides for easy oil changes and routine maintenance. The galley is aft and on the salon level near the companionway and she has a refrigerator and separate freezer, 2 burner propane stove with oven, microwave, galley sink and abundant storage. The starboard cabin is the master with large double berth, abundant storage in lockers and cabinets with a full size head aft with sink, shower, lockers and toilet. The port cabin has 2 single berths and a full size head aft. The decks are solid, but the trampoline forward needs replacement. There are 2 electric windlasses, one at each bow with access lockers for chain and rode. Across the stern arch there are 3 old solar panels mounted on a custom platform that can hold a dinghy with davits. The cockpit is large enough to sleep on the settees with the steering station to starboard. If you can handle a project and a strong aluminum sailing catamaran is the way you wish to go, call us today to see this vessel for yourself.
